Modified Vegetation Detection Index Using Different-Spectral Signature

چکیده

The Normalization Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), for many years, was widely used in remote sensing the detection of vegetation land cover. This index uses red channel radiances (i.e., 0.66 μm reflectance) and near-IR 0.86 reflectance). In heavy chlorophyll absorption area, is located, while high reflectance plateau canopies, Near-IR situated. Senses channels (Red & Near- IR) read variance depths over canopies. present study, a further identification proposed. normalized difference shortwave (NDVSI) defined as between cubic bands IR Shortwave infrared radiation (SWIR) divided by their sums. or reflectances are included this from WSIR2 (2.1 μm). NDVSI less sensitivite to atmospheric effects compared NDVI. By comparing one with two indexes (NDVI, SAVI) cover, good correlations were found NDVI (R2=0.917) SAVI (R2=0.809. Accordingly, proposed can be taken into consideration an independent

Common Raman Spectral Markers among Different Tissues for Cancer Detection

Introduction Raman spectroscopy is a vibrational spectroscopic technique, based on inelastic scattering of monochromatic light. This technique can provide valuable information about biomolecular changes, associated with neoplastic transformation. The purpose of this study was to find Raman spectral markers for distinguishing normal samples from cancerous ones in different tissues. Materials and...

Investigating the applicability of conventional vegetation indices for vegetation change detection in different environmental conditions

Vegetation indices have been developed to characterize and extract the Earth's vegetation cover from space using satellite images. For detection of vegetation changes, usually temporal images are independently analyzed or vegetation index differencing is implemented. A review on previous studies reveal that, in spite of developing several vegetation indices, to extract vegetation cover or veget...

AVHRR-Based Spectral Vegetation Index for Quantitative Assessment of Vegetation State and Productivity: Calibration and Validation

The goal of the work was to estimate, quantitatively, vegetation state and productivity using AVHRR-based Vegetation Condition Index (VCI). The VCI algorithm includes application of post-launch calibration to visible channels, calculation of NDVI from channels’ reflectance, removal of high-frequency noise from NDVI’s annual time series, stratification of ecosystem resources, and separation of e...

Test of Multi-spectral Vegetation Index for Floating and Canopy-forming Submerged Vegetation

Remote sensing of terrestrial vegetation has been successful thanks to the unique spectral characteristics of green vegetation, low reflectance in red and high reflectance in Near-InfraRed (NIR). These spectral characteristics were used to develop vegetation indices, including Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). However, the NIR absorption by water and light scattering from suspended...

Estimating Crop Water Deficit Using the Relation between Surface-Air Temperature and Spectral Vegetation Index

T e crop water stress index (CWSI), developed at the USDA-ARS [LS. Water Conservation Laboratory, Phoenix, Arizona, is a commonly used index for detection of plant stress based on the difference between foliage and air temperature. Application of CWSI at local and refzional scales has been hampered by the difficulty of measuring foliage temperature of partially vegetated fields. Most hand-held,...
